The neighbourhood we have been today is very different from the previous ones: Schonenberg. The truth is that Berlin scenery completely changes when you change of neighbourhood. It is amazing. Not only for its architecture and parks, also for the life in the streets: Berliners take tables, benches and chairs to the sidewalk, and there they drink, eat and chat … we love this tradition! On Saturday, in Schonenberg you can go to a market of fruits, vegetables and crafts, on Winterfelderplatz. It is a lively street market where you would like to have everything.
One of the streets with more unique shops and bars in this area is Goltzsrtasse. We have been in a bar/shop where everything is of the 50’s. In a store where they only sell apples, in an antique shop specialized in desks, furniture and vintage clothing. We have also gone through a bar where the soil is beach sand! This is another of the sights of Berlin: the beach bars, there by the river and canals. They are bars with hammocks and sand, where you feel completely enveloped in a summer environment.
The owner of a shop of second-hand vinyl records, record players and gramophones, has been putting German music of the 20’s in one of them, and left us to photograph and shoot in his store.
Before leaving this neighbourhood, we recommend you to pass by the bar and restaurant Gottlob, at 17 Akazienstrasse.
